Modern Plumbing charges $95 per hour for labor with a 1-hour minimum, plus a $45 service call. After the first hour, billing is in 15-minute increments at $23.75 per quarter hour, so you only pay for the time actually worked. Do you give free estimates?▾

What payment methods do you accept?▾
We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards. Payment is due upon completion of work. For larger projects such as repipes or bathroom remodels, we can discuss payment terms in advance.

What are your daily appointment times?▾
We schedule Monday through Friday with regular appointments available between 8–10 AM, 10 AM–12 PM, 12–2 PM, and 2–4 PM. We provide convenient 2-hour scheduling windows so you're not waiting all day. Do you offer same-day or emergency plumbing service?▾
Same-day service is available for many repairs depending on availability. We stock common parts — including AO Smith ProLine water heaters and American Standard toilets — so most jobs can be completed on the first visit. How long does a water heater installation take?▾
A standard electric water heater replacement typically takes 2–3 hours depending on the installation requirements. Because we stock AO Smith ProLine units, most replacements can be completed the same day you call. All installations are fully permitted and inspected through Citrus County. Do you handle permits and inspections?▾
Yes. All applicable installations — including water heaters, repipes, and bathroom remodels — are fully permitted and inspected through Citrus County to ensure code compliance and protect your investment.

Are you licensed and insured?▾
Yes. We hold a Florida State Certified Plumbing Contractor License CFC1426865. We carry both General Liability and Workers Compensation insurance and are on file and registered with Citrus County. We are also an AO Smith certified residential water heater and heat pump technician.

No. Our plumbers work on an hourly rate and receive no sales commissions. We want our plumbers to focus on our customers' needs — not on being a high-pressure salesperson.
